about the TRAINER.

Hello, my name is Maquel Wilson, and I’m a proud Lebanon native with a deep-rooted passion for dogs and their well-being. With over a decade entrenched in the pet industry, I've dedicated the majority of those years to serving on the front lines of the animal shelter and rescue world.

Throughout my journey, I've had the privilege of interacting with thousands of dogs, offering my time and expertise to the true underdogs of our community. As a staff member at Dogwood Animal Shelter in Osage Beach, I currently serve as a canine behavioral specialist, where I take great pride in advocating for the mental and emotional health of every dog under my care.

Beyond my work in shelters, I'm an experienced foster and working dog handler, committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for dogs in transition. As a Search and Rescue K9 trainer and handler for the Osage Beach Fire Department, I harness my skills to train dogs for life-saving missions, ensuring they are equipped to serve our community with courage and dedication.

In addition, I hold the title of a certified American Kennel Club, Canine Good Citizen evaluator, with years of professional experience guiding clients through both class and private settings. Whether it's instilling obedience or addressing behavioral challenges, I take pride in empowering dog owners to build strong, lasting bonds with their furry companions.

My journey in the pet industry has been defined by a steadfast commitment to the welfare of dogs and a relentless pursuit of excellence in training and behavior modification. I am honored to continue making a positive impact in the lives of dogs and their human counterparts, one paw at a time.

Locations.

Osage Beach: Dogwood Animal Shelter.

Situated in the heart of the Lake of the Ozarks, our sessions at Dogwood Animal Shelter take place in their spacious 1400 square foot conference room. This venue provides ample room for indoor training, ensuring a comfortable and controlled environment for both dogs and their owners. With the capacity to accommodate class sizes of up to 12 dogs, we have the privilege of utilizing this well-equipped space to nurture positive learning experiences.

Lebanon: The Farmhouse.

Our Lebanon location, just 8 minutes outside of city limits on West Hwy 32, offers a unique and tranquil setting for our training programs. Nestled in a brand new out building within a 40-acre wooded property, this location provides access to a small open field and a peaceful pond. The 1000 square foot lobby is an inviting space that is more suited to smaller more personalized groups. Class sizes range average around 5 dogs. The serene surroundings create an ideal atmosphere for focused training and bonding moments with your canine companions.
